Name: Jonas Brothers

With four hit albums, fourteen Teen Choice Awards, a television show, a 3D concert film, and starring roles in two Disney Channel musical movies, the Jonas Brothers are taking the world by storm. Their many appearances on the Disney Channel and sold-out, stadium tour dates have added to their phenomenal musical career and made them a household name. The Jonas Brothers haven't released an album since Lines, Vines and Trying Times in 2009 and, with the brothers busy side projects and personal lives, there doesn't appear to be any new music on the horizon. No new music generally means no tour dates in 2011, so fans shouldn't expect a full concert schedule until the announcement of a new album. The origin of the Jonas Brothers band revolves heavily around the early career of Nick Jonas. In 1999, at the age of seven, Nick began appearing in several Broadway musicals. In 2002, while cast in the role of Chip in Beauty and the Beast, Nick and his father wrote a song called "Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)." The song piqued the interest of the Christian music label, INO, and Nick was soon signed. Soon after, Joe and Kevin both began helping Nick write songs for his debut solo album. Nicholas Jonas released in 2004 and grabbed the attention of Columbia president Steve Greenberg, who signed all three of the brothers as a group. The Jonas Brothers' debut album, It's About Time, received a limited release in 2006. While the singles "Mandy" and "Year 3000" received airplay on Radio Disney and the brothes' tour dates sold fairly well, Columbia was disappointed in the album's performance and dropped the brothers in 2007. A few months later the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records and continued to perform tour dates and record songs for soundtracks. Their second, self-titled album was released in late 2007 and was much more successful than their first, reaching #5 on the Billboard 200. The album's release was followed by a string of high profile concert dates at awards shows, on television programs, and parades. The Jonas Brothers followed up the album with A Little Bit Longer in 2008. The album built on the group's previous success, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 and selling over half a million copies in its first week alone, leading to sold-out tour dates with thousands of people in attendance. The Jonas Brothers have continued their meteoric rise to fame with Lines, Vines and Trying Times, released in 2009. The album debuted at the top spot on the charts and sold a quarter of a million copies in its first week. The album features a more experimental style characterized by classical string instruments and led to almost symphony-style tour dates. Their lyrical content has also evolved with age, and the record focuses on the struggles of growing up and becoming an adult. Although there are no tour dates for 2011, the Jonas Brothers can be expected to continue their hot streak with a new album and concert schedule in the near future.

Name: Ellie Goulding

One of the most popular and promising singer-songwriters to come out of England is indie artist Ellie Goulding. Her unique fusion of indie and electro music has created a very popular musical combination that has become a hit on tour dates and on her latest album, Bright Lights. Her light, airy style has made her a rising star in the UK, and Goulding is quickly winning over fans in the US. Goulding's popularity is spreading all the quicker with US tour dates in 2011 that have sold out venues all across the continent. Born Elena Goulding, the young artist began playing music from a young age, eventually working with musicians Starsmith and Frankmusik while in college. She took a break from school and released the singles "Under the Sheets" and "Guns and Horses", which led to her first ever tour dates in support of Little Boots. The popularity of her performances and the singles created quite a buzz in the mainstream music scene, and critics were quick to applaud once her debut album, Lights was released. Soon after, a reissue of the album called Bright Lights was released featuring additional tracks that audiences also ate up. Included in those audiences was Prince William and Kate Middleton, who invited Goulding to be the only performer to perform at their reception at Buckingham Palace. As Ellie Goulding continues to work hard on producing her next album, she's also finishing up 2011 tour dates in the US. Still to come on her schedule are performances at Lollapalooza, Kanrocksas, and Outside Lands before concluding on August 13. For those that haven't yet fallen for the music of Ellie Goulding, these remaining 2011 tour dates are the perfect opportunity.

Name: Mark Ronson

this bio (below) is so old, it's embarassing. i will write something new when it's appropriate (like before my next album comes out, whenever that is). i guess not that much has changed since i wrote it, 'cept for three grammies and a brit award. peace out..... I'm a bit sick of looking at that stock-form bio (no offense, gabe), so i thought i'd just write something else..... I was born in london, and then my mum (she's great, you would love her) moved us to new york when i was eight. before she moved though, her and my dad would throw tea-parties at their house in st. john's wood and i (3 or 4 yrs old at the time) would sit, eating crumpets & playing air-drums next to the stereo speakers. drums was my first instrument, i have since laid them to rest...... skip to nyc, I started a band in high-school (playing guitar) and i listened to alot of good music (not to be confused with g.o.o.d music--g'day 'Ye). then the brand new heavies came along and i found the funk aswell..... i started dj'ing in '93 in downtown NY clubs, for whomever had five dollars. at some point, i got good and started to build a nice rep. around the same time, "urban music" (i borrowed that term from one of my college textbooks) got very fabulous, so alluvasuddden, it's like well-blinging. then, the fashion world decided hip-hop was zuper-cooo-el, so i milked that for a bit, dj'ing gucci parties in milan (where i got in a shouting match with charlize theron--i'm usually a very peaceful person, like jehovah's witness-peaceful) and a pair of puffy parties in paris (try and say those last seven words 10 times fast)..... then i hooked up with nikka costa (thanks dom), and me and her husband justin produced her criminally slept on debut album ("like a feather", respect game). that led to my debut album on elektra (rip), "here comes the fuzz"--which kind of bombed in the US, but gave me a nice top 10 around the world with "ooh wee" (top of the pops, thanks for the memories)....... hooked up with rich kleiman and started Allido Records, which will release chicago superstar Rhymefest's record this summer and australian wunderkind Daniel Merriweather next year. we're also putting out the soundtrack to "Half Nelson" (a really good movie with Ryan Gosling) and a series of rocking compilations for the Hard Rock..... i still love dj'ing (and you can hear me most fridays on my east village radio show (hello Echo) but i'm mostly producing records right now. i have some of my best stuff yet coming later this year--robbie williams, lily allen, amy winehouse, christina aguilera, rhymefest, domino etc.... and, of course, my upcoming album "VERSION" featuring the radiohead cover (hello, alex greenwald--may i have a call back, please?) and many many more joints......Stay Tuned
